The Sixth GunIt's that time of year, that day where nerds roust themselves from their parents' basement and head to their nearest comic book store for free schwag. Yep. It's Free Comic Book Day.

This year's got a few nice choices, such as the first issue of Ben Edlund's The Tick to celebrate its 24th anniversary. While most may be familiar with the cartoon from the 90s, the comic is far and away even more crazy and fun. I hope this can help draw some more attention to this sometimes forgotten superhero satire.

Personally, I'm interested in The Sixth Gun, Oni's new western about a gun with mysterious powers that people will do anything to get their hands on. I enjoy Hurtt's artwork and am looking forward to getting a chance to see some more of it.

I'm also a little curious about Doctor Solar / Magnus from Dark Horse. It's been a while since I've even thought about those characters, so I'm wondering what Dark Horse will do with them.

What I'm not looking forward to is the Del Ray Showcase with its preview of Pride, Prejudice, and Zombies. But that's just because I hate that pitch.
