If you look at the sidebar on the front page, you will now see a magical portal that enables you to read some of your party members' thoughts. DO NOT BE ALARMED. The swelling will subside, and the terrible affliction of telepathic groupthink will eventually become as second nature to you, changing you in ways you cannot imagine. No, actually you can probably imagine them. Don't try too hard. Trust me. It can take you to a bad place.
In order to participate, you will need to do the following:
- Create a Twitter account. (Just close your eyes and think of England.)
- If you are already a twitter user, you can follow the Floating Island List. (optional)
- Reply here with a comment telling us your Twitter username. (mandatory)
- Fast and pray for absolution. (recommended?)
The widget will track the twittered doings of the contributors to our site. Once Stephen shoves your username into the coal furnace, you'll start showing up in there too! Even if you're not a big fan of tweeting all the damn time (and really, no one likes those people), this can serve a number of purposes for you.
- It will allow us direct access to your darkest secrets. (The ones you share with everyone, I mean.)
- It will enable you to follow our wanderings across the web, and see where we get our weird links from.
- It may possibly make you immortal. (still not dead. I check every day.)
- If you are a blip.fm user, and you set blip up to post to twitter, then all your blipped tunes will show up in here for us to check out!
- It will show us that you care and will make us feel warm and glowy inside, and then you're practically at second base without even buying us dinner.
- If you belong to GamerDNA, and you set it up to post to twitter, then we can see what games you've been into lately.
- If you have a Youtube account, and you set it up to post to twitter, then we can see when you favorite a video.
- Smartphones can generally log into twitter, which basically makes you able to send
annoyinginformative texts to all of us at once, in case you spot zombies. ZOMBIE EMERGENCY HOTLINE.
